Visconti Labels Larson Backing Obama "Big Mistake!"
Written by Ron Winter

“Which of Obama’s beliefs should we believe in?”

1st Congressional District Candidate Joe Visconti

Joe Visconti, the GOP 1st Congressional District Candidate, today labeled the Democratic incumbent's support of Barrack Obama, “the biggest mistake in John Larson’s political career.”

Visconti says that "most Americans are well aware of Obama's use of hot-button issues, including race, during the Democratic primaries. Many resent Obama demanding in his speech the evening of June 3, 2008, that now we should not make race, religion or patriotism an issue during the fall elections."

“Does Obama watch his own reruns or does he count on Americans not listening to what he says?" Visconti questioned. "Obama allowed race, religion and patriotism to push his agenda to gain support from the left-wing fringe of the Democratic Party. Now to attempt to eliminate discussions on those issues from the presidential race is hypocritical," he said.

"The question I would pose to Congressman Larson is which of Obama's beliefs should we believe in?"

"Obama’s spiritual leader, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, made race and religion an issue during the primaries, and Obama made patriotism an issue by refusing to place his hand over his heart during the national anthem. It goes without saying that Americans will continue to question his judgment and true beliefs," Visconti stated.

"When a Democratic presidential candidate’s closest friends and mentors are racists and traitors, what more evidence would John Larson need before he corrects his monumental absence of judgment regarding his premature presidential endorsement?” Visconti asked.

Visconti continued his criticism of Larson's judgment, noting that “as the Vice Chairman of the Democratic Caucus, Larson's failure to deliver on a major defense contract already has cost the incumbent support across the First District.

"John Larson says he feels confident that we can put an end to the policies of yesterday without acknowledging his failures and his participation in 'yesterday.'”

Visconti Views Opponent's Iraq Comments as 'Political Opportunism'
Written by Susan Schaffer
WEST HARTFORD, CT -- West Hartford Councilman and Republican First Congressional District Candidate Joseph Visconti today blasted comments made by his opponent who demanded that Iraq increase the pace of its takeover of combat operations from US forces, calling the remarks "political opportunism at its worst."

Last week incumbent Democrat Congressman John Larson flew to Iraq and demanded that the government of Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, which has won two major battles against Iran-backed terrorists in recent weeks, step up the pace of its combat operations.
